It is commonly believed that photographs appearing on the Internet are free to use, and/or that they are in the public domain, even if they have a copyright watermark. These beliefs are incorrect. Because of these incorrect beliefs, I require all visitors of my online gallery to read and accept the following terms and conditions.
- You acknowledge that all the photographs appearing in this gallery are © Walter Rowe and are the sole property of Walter Rowe.
- You acknowledge as a visitor to my gallery that you are only granted permission to browse my photographs. No other rights are granted.
- You agree to respect my copyright by not downloading, distributing, or using my photographs in any form for any purpose without my permission.
- You agree that any use of my photographs without my permission is a willful violation of my copyright and United States Copyright Law.
- You acknowledge you will be fined the maximum penalty including license fees, statutory damages, and all profits, if you violate my copyright.
- You acknowledge you will be fined between $2,500 and $25,000 per photograph for removing my copyright watermark, in addition to other penalties.
